Why use a tripod with digital cameras?

Here's a video which provides some basic tips on why, and when, you should use a tripod. We will be making use of tripods for our still and video digital images (tutorials 2, 4 and 5). Basically put a tripod allows you to get a shot where blurring is reduced to a minimum and esp with video the viewer is not distracted by uncontrolled camera movement.

Who's using the Internet

As we will talk about in the first tutorial the internet provides many powerful tools and has changed the way many of us communicate with each other. In many ways we are in the middle of a communication revolution. But who's using this technology to connect with others. Here's a short video from YouTube of an older gentleman who has become a Youtube sensation simply through sharing his thoughts and experiences. Almost 3 million people have viewed this video and the subsequent videos he's posted. Why do you think this is?

Creative Commons

This video explains creative commons. Basically put this is a medium through which people can share their created information on the internet without having to work within strict copywrite laws. A lot of the videos on this site are from creative commons sources. Most creative commons sources are free many only want acknowledgement of the source of their work. See what you think....

Ever wondered how a digital camera works?

Here's a short explanation which might fill in a few gaps in tutorial two.
